Getting started with Jaha
From “Get started” to Jaha answering out loud in your first meeting: one admin consent, nothing to install on anyone’s computer, and about ten minutes.
What you need
A Microsoft 365 organization, and one person in it with admin rights. That's all. Nobody on your team installs anything, changes how they schedule meetings or learns a new tool. Jaha is a Teams app for your whole organization that your admin approves once.
Sign-in stays with Microsoft. Jaha never sees a password, and sessions use the standard corporate SSO your organization already trusts.
The consent screen
“Get started” opens the signup page. If you’re a Microsoft 365 admin, choose “I can approve this, continue” and Microsoft’s consent page lists exactly what Jaha asks for: joining meetings as a participant, reading who is in the call, and posting in the meeting chat. If you aren’t, copy the link the page gives you and send it to your admin. They approve once, for the whole organization.
After consent, you choose a plan and check who Jaha is for: it reads your directory and suggests your colleagues. Free needs no card and has no trial countdown. On a paid plan you see the exact price for those seats before you pay.
Your first meeting
Signup ends on a list of the Teams meetings coming up on your calendars. Choose “Have Jaha join” on one, or paste any Teams meeting link under Meetings. On the Free plan, type @Jaha join in the meeting’s Teams chat once it starts. Either way, Jaha joins as a visible participant, announces that it is recording, and transcribes with speaker names. Type @Jaha in the meeting chat, or say “Hey Jaha” and a question, and it answers from the conversation and any sources you’ve connected.
When the call ends, the recap is ready in under a minute: summary, decisions, and action items with owners. You can search all of it from the dashboard right away.
Scheduled auto-join (optional)
Without this step, Jaha joins the meetings it is booked into a couple of minutes after they start. To have it join the moment a meeting starts, a Teams administrator runs two PowerShell commands, shown under “Advanced” on the organization setup page. Everything else works without it.
Bringing in your team
Connect your directory and Jaha keeps it in sync: the org map fills in, new joiners appear, seats free up when people leave, and reorganizations come through on their own. Everyone in your directory is recognized by name at no cost. You only assign paid seats to the people whose meetings Jaha works on.
Roles (manager, member and viewer) decide who can change rules, send results to connectors and manage billing. Guests in your meetings are never charged and never take a seat.
